Seasons

So as you will soon find out I love to journal. I love being able to look back on where I have been and see how God has worked through that time. I see how seasons build my next and see how much God works through hard seasons for beautiful ones. The song Seasons by Hillsong worship is a song that has meant so much to me in the past few months. I have been through a lot in the past few years and I will share more in the future, but this song just was a great reminder that God works in his timing. For me patience is not something that comes easily and the reminder of God working on His eternal clock is so peaceful. The words in the song have become my mantra for the year "if you're not done working, God I'm not done waiting." God takes his time. "He has made everything beautiful in it's time" Ecclesiastes 3:11 God does not have the time constraints we think we do. We may think we need to know what college we want to go to now, but God knows and will reveal it to us in due time. Maybe we have a season to go through before we know that information. Like the song says, our season will come. Winter is the preparation for the beautiful spring that is soon to come. We must press on in the winter because beautiful blooms we cannot imagine are soon to bud and make many people, more than we can ever know, gaze in awe.
