Our Stories Matter.

Throughout the Bible there are countless stories. They are stories of imperfect people being used by a mighty God for things greater than they could ever imagine. We have Noah, Moses, David, Solomon, and Paul, but we also have Zacchaeus and Timothy, Ezra and Deborah. We have people without names and people who seem to be really messed up. Yet they all have one thing in common... God lavished his love upon them and used them because they were flawed. See, only a perfect God like ours would be able to turn a bunch of far from perfect people into giant slayers, the wisest man, from a stutterer to a strong leader or a murderer to a champion for the name of Jesus.
Now what if I told you your story could be used by God... No matter who you are or what you've done... God does not want perfection, no, he just wants you as you are. He wants you to surrender to his perfect love that can take you on an adventure far greater than your own imagination can believe. God knows your imperfections, secret sins and desires, he knows your past. God uses anyone no matter who you are. God does not want the you that is dressed all cute on a Sunday morning; he wants the you that is crying on the floor after you made the biggest mistake of your life. He uses each of us in a unique way based on our experiences to further his kingdom. God has a plan and purpose for you.
God will allow you to use your story as a way to show his grace and mercy lavished upon you. Whether you have always seemed like a pretty good kid or you were an addict, God will use your story.
Here's where I am going...
I was praying a few weeks back about my blog and I started thinking about the huge variety of people within the Bible, all with a unique story. I know so many people who have amazing stories where you have seen God move in your life and you have had amazing opportunities come your way. Or you have had pain and heartache that has caused you to fall away from faith and go a different route. I think it is super healthy to see many different perspectives of people to teach us understanding and teach us how to love those we do not understand. It is also healthy to understand we all go through troubles and pain so finding people who go through the same thing is super awesome. No matter where you fall within that spectrum I want to hear your story. You can be anonymous or you can put out your socials. You can share everything share as little or as much as you want.
